Sharples memories...
Jul. 30th, 2005 05:52 pmOk, you know it's bad when you feel vaguely nostalgic for your college dining hall. But, I would happily eat there today. I just don't particularly want to eat anything I have in my kitchen. Nor do I want to go anywhere. Nor do I have a craving for takeout. But I bet in Sharples there would be something. Pudding. Or fries or Lucky Charms. Hmph.
The other thing that has me thinking about Sharples is that a bracelet broke just now that I got at Sharples. Fall of senior year, they had a theme dinner Mardi Gras thing. At least I think it was Mardi Gras, although that makes little sense. Maybe it was just a generic carnival. Dunno. Whatever. Anyway, they were giving out beaded necklaces and sparkly things and other types of cheap jewelry, and I picked up three jelly bracelets, in blue, pink, and yellow. That was nice, thank you, Sharples!
I've worn them ever since, until right now. (Eventually, they lost their elasticity, and I couldn't take them off, not that I needed to.) And now my wrist looks all weird and naked. Hmph squared.
