Guess who just bought Mal and Jayne Serenity action figures? Oh yeah, that would be me! Hee hee hee. They're going to go play with the boys from Lord of the Rings. Also got the comic meant to fill in the gaps from the end of the series to the beginning of events in the movie. Well, parts 1 and 3, anyway, part 2 was sold out. How does that happen? I mean, why wouldn't they all have sold together? Why would the store stock more of one part than the others? Weird, but whatever.
Also, very very pleased by my new nail polish, from the Bijou line by L'Oreal. Excellent glitteriness. I'm wearing #950 for those of you who care.
Still no success at finding The Hunchback of Notre Dame in French. This is not an obscure book, I don't understand. I thought Barnes and Noble had it, because they showed a book in their warehouse with the title NĂ´tre Dame de Paris, the French title, but when it came in, it was just a different translation that stuck with the original title. B&N does, however, have the book in Spanish. Grrrrrr. I tried Borders today, but no luck. It says the French editions are out of print. I don't get it, it's not like Victor Hugo is some struggling little fledgling author. This seems like the kind of book that might be taught in schools, which makes the impossibility to find it around here more puzzling. I'm sure I could order it from French Amazon or Fnac.com or whatever, but I'd rather not spend $50 for what should be an ordinary book! I guess I'll keep poking around used bookstores for it.
