Donors Choose is having a sale! Sort of. Some foundation has funded a bunch of projects down to $98 provided other people donate the rest. Ends tomorrow! If you have a little something to send their way (or know someone else who does), here is the link.
If that is of no interest, here are dogs dressed up as Lady Gaga or a slo-mo Pedigree commercial of dogs catching treats. Something for everyone!
So usually the cats are far more reliable than an alarm clock on any given morning -- they start their campaign to wake me the second I show signs of life and are usually relentless. Not this morning. They had some halfhearted attempts, but really, the effort was far below their usual. To the point where I was vaguely worried that something was wrong with them. Nope, just at last a squirrel clever and/or agile enough to get onto the balcony. And far smarter than the birds, because this squirrel was not scared off by the cats, even when they thumped the glass.

I know some people hate squirrels eating from their birdfeeders (side note: the lady I bought the condo from subscribed to all sorts of crap, and now they come to me the current resident. This one catalog of crap sold a bird feeder that came with a remote control so you could ELECTROSCHOCK SQUIRRELS AT WILL. She also still gets pamphlets from a psychic hotline!) but I don't. One, I like squirrels, they are cute. Two, if I leave food outside, really, it's fair game to anything in nature. And three, it's all tv for the cats as far as I'm concerned, and their entertainment is the whole point for me.
I continue to listen to Sleepwalker on constant repeat. I think part of what makes this song so irresistible is not just that it is catchy but that it is soooo fun to sing along with, the chorus especially. Too many songs that I love don't love my vocal range in return. I hope it is popular enough to become part of karaoke machine choices, because then it is ON.
