Eeeenteresting
Jun. 11th, 2010 09:01 pmSo, as voted on by Logo watchers, here are the top 30 Buffy episodes, being shown 30-1 during the marathon this weekend. Huh. Not a lot of Buffy/Angel shippers, I see, clearly more of a Spuffy crowd. Or, since this list has Gone (meh episode where you see Spike essentially naked) and not Smashed (with the hot bringing-down-the-house Spuffy hatesex), perhaps it is more accurate to say it's a Spike crowd! I sort of figured I was the only person to like season 4 as much as I do, but I am pleased to see The Initiative on here. But Touched? Am I forgetting something about that episode making it list-worthy? The end of season 7 blurs together for me, though, since so much action takes place over the span of a few days in Sunnydale time, I am not totally sure what is in which episode. Guess I'll learn when I see it in the marathon!

Day 01 - A show that should have never been canceled
Moonlight. Perhaps I am taking a different tack with this question, but I am not answering which show I wish had never been canceled, that would be a different answer. (Farscape or Miracles or Veronica Mars or Arrested Developement or Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles or Keen Eddie or Firefly or Wonderfalls or Pushing Daisies.) No, I am answering which show should not have been canceled from a more objective the-network-is-probably-ruing-that-decision place. And to me, that is Moonlight. It had hot stars, was popular (or popular enough with potential to grow) as evidenced by the People's Choice Award for Best New Series, and IIRC the ratings were solid, if not stellar, and can you even imagine anyone canceling a romantic vampire show now? It was a year too early and victim of the writer's strike. I bet CBS wished it had kept it around to grow its audience considering they are usually hurting for young demographics. Ah, Moonlight. A frequently cheesy, sometimes terrible, always entertaining and watchable show.
