people knew how to whittle

No major thoughts about Nikita. Still not in love, but it'll do.
I have been going through papers these last two days, sorting what I should keep from what I should shred from what I can toss and among these papers are many old receipts. I don't get rid of receipts right away because hey, you never know, so they tend to pile up. So I am going through a pile, some of which is from Austria, and I find a receipt from a store whose name doesn't ring a bell on a street in downtown Vienna (ie, it could be any kind of store) for...Seelöwen-Fütterung. That means sea lion feeding. And I was all, WTFBBQ, I would remember if I ever fed sea lions, why on earth did I buy sea lion feed, and why don't I remember. And the price was nothing, like 3 euros, and I was all, did I buy a sandwich or something that was actually intended for sea lions?!?!
And then at last it came to me.

It was a little Playmobil toy I bought to cheer up a friend, and also because I was amazed that such a toy existed. Policeman, doctor, cowboy, knight, pirate, I knew those existed, but who knew they had a sea lion trainer toy?
Mystery solved and a weight off my mind.

Day 15 - Favorite female character
Oh man, this is hard. Scully, Aeryn Sun, Buffy, Katara, Toph, Chuck, I love them all, but I have to go with Veronica Mars. The others all were super in some way (Scully wasn't to begin with, but the context in which she exists is not reality and oh by the way is immortal whether the show always remembers or not) but Veronica's super powers are of her own making, through perseverance, smarts, stubborness, talent, and grit. She is smart and ruthless and vengeful and loyal, and there haven't been many characters like her on my television. Underestimate her at your own peril!
