Jun. 4th, 2012 11:12 pmI saw Snow White and the Huntsman this weekend. I thought it was an interesting failure. ( spoilers )I can't actively recommend the movie, but I am not so horrified that I feel the need to warn people away.
I also saw Newsies on Broadway, eeee! So much fun. The dancing was amazing. A good adaptation of the movie, keeping the good songs but streamlining the plot. I didn't care for Pulitzer's songs, but I guess the newsies need to catch their breath sometime. And they even found a way to redeem Santa Fe! Recommended, assuming you like bright, peppy musicals full of adorable men dancing.
And I ate a FANTASTIC sandwich (slow cooked chuck in tomato sauce with fresh made mozzerella on toasted bread) at Defonte's. I had seen them and that sandwich on Diner's, Drive Ins, and Dives, (see them make that sandwich here) and had been salivating after that sandwich ever since. NOM NOM NOM. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Also recommended? Wet wipes.
But onto the weekend's main event: Flosshilde.
We were at a Petco we ordinarily would have been nowhere near only because of my lust for the Defonte's sandwich, and a German woman brought her in to a cat adoption fair, only to be walking by right as they were saying they would need a foster who could bottlefeed. biggieshorty acquire a Tiny Problem, clearly fated to be. She is teeny tiny, estimated to be 3-4 weeks old, and too young to be away from her momma ordinarily. But don't worry, we got her a friend.
So. Fucking. Cute.
