I have a confession. I kind of don't hate Paris Hilton's new single, Stars Are Blind. At all. *shame* I have to say, for a vanity project, she does better than most. It's well-tailored to her kind of voice, which is breathy. It's not like she opted for a power ballad, you know?

In the same vein, has anyone seen the movie D.E.B.S.? It's really, really terrible, but I just can't bring myself to hate any movie that plays both "A Little Respect" by Erasure AND "The Lovecats" by The Cure in their entirety.

I don't hate it either. It's catchy and as you said, it suits her voice. The video bugs the hell out of me though. It's like watching a thirteen year old girl practice her "sexy" poses in front of a mirror.

YES! I mean, you can tell that she had practiced and practiced those poses. Hee, my favorite thing is how she completely pushes the gorgeous video man-meat out of frame, like, constantly.

"You're going to be in Paris Hilton's new video! And by that I mean, you'll prop her up in the video so as to make her closer to the camera."

Heh, me too. *deep shame* But...we can't *ALL* have bad taste, right? Props to her producers, seriously, because they obviously knew what they were doing.
