Miami Vice...yay?

Would I like Miami Vice the tv show? I mean, what do you think based on my other taste? Anyone ever seen it?

I ask because a good friend gave me season 1 on DVD for my birthday. The awkward thing is he didn't give me the DVDs because he thought I would like MV, he gave them to me because he thinks I *already* like MV. Which, no, never seen it. (It's another friend of ours who loves it, but I'm the one with the DVD collection, so I think he just got confused.)

Do I return them? (He would notice; he comes over all the time.) I guess I could rent the first season and then see about returning/keeping.

Ugh, awkward!
