So Vienna is awesome for many reasons. It tops all sorts of lists for highest quality of living. And it does seem like the city going out of its way to spoil its citizens sometimes. In front of the Rathaus (city hall) there is almost always something happening. It's the Christmas market, it's where the film festival is, and right now, the city built a huge icerink, including a(n) (ice) path that winds through the gardens so you can go around this big loop. And they put down this huge wooden floor surrounding it and there are food and drink stands, so you can waddle over in your skates, stand around (in your skates) drinking hot chocolate and then head back to the ice for another go. Awesome.

I myself have not done this because the Viennese are intimidatingly good at skating (lots of people appear to own their own skates) and I don't want my slow amateurish ass being run over by the zooming hordes of teenagers. No thanks! But I will have a crepe for dinner and a waffle for dessert from your food stands, thanks! Mmmmmm.

Seriously, even the little kids seem good! Everyone is just skating fast like it ain't no thang, and no one is even clutching the railings or anything! Not really my crowd. And the path part (in the third, fifth, and sixth pics) that loops around, it's only a couple of people across. I'd be holding up traffic!
