You know what, Vampire Diaries? It's ok, not bad is good enough once in a while. You can't all be home runs. And I'm happy to catch my breath every once in a while. But plenty of entertainment, even if my socks are still on. Like: eeeeeeeeeeeee, Elijah!!! Who I guess got a haircut while in the coffin? And omg Damon had so many good gleeful dickishness moments. Love him confronting Meredith. Love her taking his blood.
And Stefan, just when you think he'll zig, he zags. WOW. He nailed that scene with Elena. His face was a heart breaking in real time. And he knew it was coming, he'd been provoking it, and there was nothing to say to defend himself, and he didn't try. But you could see the blow land. And I love that Elena told him. I love that this show has enough going on that it rarely opts to milk people keeping secrets from each other for drama.
I couldn't get fired up about either Bonnie's or Tyler's plots, but they both served the overall plot of this part of the season well. And nice to have a reminder that Grams is gone, but not forgotten.
ION, this GoFugYourself post on Romola Garai made me laugh so hard. I will forever treasure the line "You can’t go on Rumspringa part-time, kid. It’s all or nothing." HAHAHHHHHAH! That ranks up there with copacabanalicious.
