70% TV + 25% cats + 5% adorableness
Ok, here's the adorableness, I literally did make noises out loud at the cute: "This Photo Will Change Your Life: Micro-Piglet Hugs a Strawberry".
And for the cats, they have met at long last! Poor Butch was in the guest room over three weeks, but in some ways I think that time was good to prepare Moya. I am cautiously optimistic but we're not there yet. Neither is being aggressive (much) although Moya does hiss and yowl and swat at him if he approaches. And he's all, meow? The one time they really started to get into it was when he was coming toward her and she was cornered and then she smacked him in the face a lot. But he still is not poofing up or hissing, and there is calm in between their periodic dustups. I do foresee trouble keeping him from eating all the food once I start feeding them together, but one problem at a time.
And on the tv front, RIP The Secret Circle. I mean, I am happy for Nikita's sake and thrilled Hart of Dixie is coming back, but I really never expected TSC to be cancelled. There were so many possibilities opened up in the finale, I am sort of bummed we won't see them come to fruition. And RIP, Unforgettable, although I know I was just about the only person who watched that. But I've loved Poppy Montgomery since Glory Days (a show that also introduced me to a young Emily Van Camp). But here's hoping she finds another show before long.
Despite the loss of TSC, the CW has my number, man. I am pretty excited about Arrow and Beauty and the Beast.
LOOK AT WHAT IS HAPPENING STARTING AT :45. I DID NOT KNOW THAT WAS POSSIBLE. HELLO, NURSE! Come through for me internet, make a slow-mo gif!
This will make an excellent pairing with Supernatural, but it's going to be weird watching Supernatural during the week again. I still get really excited when "Carry On My Wayward Son" starts up. I thought it was a pretty good finale, both in the sense of wrapping up the season's arcs and laying ground for next year. (What was up with making that girl strip, though; we already thought Leviathans were icky, show, also we all could already see she was skinny.) Sam hasn't been on his own in this way in a long time, and the much-discussed never before seen Purgatory is new ground with the possibility of old monster favorites making cameos. Maybe Sam will take some of the time he'll have alone to think and shave off the points on those ridiculous sideburns? And be at peace, Bobby. I'm glad he got a send off before he turned totally vengeancey.
Holy crap, Nikita finale! I maybe shouldn't be so surprised because the completely changed the premise at the end of last season too, but wow. Percy dead! (And what a way to go!) Nikita and co running Division! I loved the gradual adding on of people to her little group over the season, and I really loved all of them working together in the finale. Way more interesting that the whole Semok thing. And Birkoff had quite the episode, kissing both Nikita (ha!) and Sonya. I am glad the show is coming back. Maybe it had more international sales potential than TSC?
Eeeeeee, Hart of Dixie finale! I love this show. I am honestly torn. I don't even know who I want to end up together. And that goes for more than just Zoe. They opened up so many threads for next year, I am very excited. Lavon and new divorcee, I like the thought of that! And Zoe would never have opened that door with Wade if she thought George's door weren't closed, but now that she did, she liked what she found. So glad it got renewed, this show is just delightful.
