ZOMG. I am flailing. DUUUUUUUDE!!!! I did not see that coming. I thought, maybe, maybe some of Audrey was bleeding through, because the Barn imploded before her complete Lexification, but I never thought Audrey was just acting as Lexie! Although, that does explain how relatively calm Lexie was when she came through the door. If it was just an act of Audrey trying to convince the Guard she wasn't herself, that makes so much more sense, than Lexie reacting so calmly. She should have been like WTF STRANGER DON'T KISS ME, ALSO WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE GUNS, AND WHY DO YOU WANT ME TO SHOOT YOU. Instead, she was just like, nope, not gonna, also, who? That felt really off to me, but this is a good reason why. Who knew Audrey was such a good actress? She must have access to Lexie's memories. (Her earring is awesome, on a superficial note.)

I have mixed feelings now about her scenes with Nathan. On the one hand, she was toying with him something fierce. But on the other hand, that is what Lexie would do, and as soon as Nathan knows it's her, he's going to be relentless in trying to get her to kill him, so...

And DUUUUUUUKE. He appears to be totally abandoning any claim on Audrey, and while I do think he and Jennifer are basically adorable, his love realization was just days ago, in his internal timeline, so I don't buy that he's over her. He should have invited Lexie to live in his boat, not Jennifer!! Aaaaugh, so torn. I'm predicting Jordan is going to trigger Wade's trouble and try to get him to kill Audrey. Wade clearly is going to die before the season is over. Eeeeeeeeee! I am so excited about where this will go. I love that I so rarely have any idea how anything will resolve. This show, man. It gives me ALL THE FEELS.

In other news, I recommend Rush. I was surprised I liked it so much. It was a compromise choice with a friend. I didn't want to see Gravity (floating off into space has been the stuff of nightmares since I learned it was possible as a kid), and he didn't want to see The Butler (granted, the movie time was not so convenient) so we chose Rush even though neither of us was gung-ho. I figured, what the fuck, at a minimum, I can watch Chris Hemsworth, and boy did it deliver on that front. On him, 70s fashion makes sense. And we see him out of his clothes too! I was convinced Natalie Dormer was going to have a bigger part, because hey look, it's Natalie Dormer. I thought she was way to famous to have such a minor role, and waited for her character to reappear. But perhaps when she learned the bulk of her part would be love scenes with Chris Hemsworth, she was like, small part or no, where do I sign? I truly hope James Hunt's tombstone reads, "Good Driver, Immortal Fuck."

But even beyond the tastiness of Chris Hemsworth, the movie is genuinely good. In some way it reminds me of Friday Night Lights, in that it's hard to explain how it's both about a sport and not about a sport at the same time. I have zero, truly zero, knowledge about or interest in Formula One racing, and that in no way impacted my enjoyment of the movie. In fact, it was super exciting, since I legitimately didn't know who won what. Don't let the trailer put you off, it's more than a zoom zoom popcorn movie, although it does entertain on that front, too. It's really about rivalry between two drivers and how it pushes them and how they make each other better, even as competition crystalizes their belief in their approach, and what the sport means to them. Daniel Brühl is fricking amazing in this movie. I hope it does well overseas, as it appears not to be setting the US box office on fire, which is a shame, because I really liked it.
