TVD 6x22
It was as good as I could have hoped. I am not going to be happy Nina Dobrev is off the show, but I think they did a really good job with her exit. As much as I love her, she can't want to continue to professionally make out with her ex forever. When they announced Nina Dobrev was leaving, I couldn't imagine how they could have her leave, then I got convinced she would take the cure and maybe be compelled to go live a normal human life, but this, this was better. It's a way that she's gone but did not die, so that the world of TVD is not left bereft without her. Everyone got their goodbyes. The characters can be sad but not inconsolable. (Except Alaric. Jo, NOOOOOOOOOOO! I genuinely didn't think they'd really kill the pregnant chick! When he pulled the trigger? *sobs* And Tyler and Liv! Man, this ep had a lot of sad stuff. Also, I had totally forgotten about the kill the leader, kill the coven rule.)
I legit cried during her goodbye with Bonnie and Caroline. Nina Dobrev is such an amazing crier. Loved the feathers callback.
And I loved Damon choosing Bonnie living and deferring being with Elena. I can't wait for all the Damon-Bonnie bestie stuff to come. The Kai "heads!" scene was classic, hahahahaha. I do think this season skimped on showing what it meant for Enzo and Alaric being back in Damon's life, but I did love what they did with him and Bonnie.
I think Caroline and Stefan will be very satisfying next season. I wonder how much the time jump is? If they'll skip to her being ready? Also hopefully the mayhem seen at the end was the result of the heretics and not Damon.
In other TV news, omg, loving iZombie. It got so good so quickly, I am totally in. It's clever and fun and compelling and got a great cast. David Anders is having such a blast, and his albino zombie in guyliner look works for me, can't lie. Legit devastated about Lowell. Noooooooooooo! He was such a great match for Liv, and for him to die basically for her because he wanted to make it right? *sobs* One part of my brain liked appreciated at a story level him being fridged to motivate Liv to go after Blaine, but that part is outnumbered by those that will miss Bradley James adorable hotness. All the story lines are converging and it's really exciting. Can't wait for the culmination.

Sidenote: the scene where drunk reporter Liv is waiting outside that douchey guy's apartment to talk to his hookup was totally filmed half a block from my apartment! You've seen my street!
I can't believe Nina Dobrev left TVD. I haven't watched in years, but she was always the clear protagonist.

Yay iZombie!! Ha, have you seen them filming around your neighborhood? It must be so weird to recognize stuff in every other TV show (or certainly those on the CW). Babineau is not my fave, maybe because we've never seen him be anything but a cop on duty, but I do like Liv quite a bit. I sort of admire how well she's doing, although I do disagree with her Major stance. Ravi is hands down the best, though, no question.
