"Only for stamps and emergencies!"
Jan. 19th, 2006 08:09 pmBeen home sick for 2 days, blargh. I'm not that congested but my throat is scratchy. I'm going to work tomorrow, though, I can't afford to have missed a whole week.
This weekend was fun. I went up to New York City to visit
biggieshorty and
katietunning and saw their adorable kitties and adorable new apartment. I think I had a breakthrough with Pidgeon, who normally hisses if I pet her. By Tuesday, she let me pet her without incident. Score! Friday night, Tiff surprised me with tickets to The Lion King. AWESOME. And we can add "Circle of Life" to the list of things that have made me cry. And I hung out with people and ate yummy food and went shopping and it was awesome.
Tiff and I saw Chronicles of Narnia on Tuesday. Huh. I liked it, and I wasn't sure I would. I'm a conflicted little heathen about it, but overall I liked it. I think Liam Neeson was COMPLETELY miscast as Aslan, but otherwise it was well done. And I love Mr. Tumnus a lot, and Tilda Swinton was so damn kickass. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE Edmund, so good job there. I guess most of my problems (the girls are LAME) are problems I had with the books, so that's not really the movie's fault. And Ray Winstone was one of the voices, and I love him beyond reason, so it was bound to win me over, I guess. "Is it Latin for 'worst game ever invented'?" Hee.
I watched Coupling on the train on the way home. Anyone seen it? (BBC version, naturally.) It really is hysterical. I love Jeff sooooooooooooo much, I just can't stand it. I'm about to start the 3rd season. Netflix it, people. You won't be sorry.
