See, now your life has purpose!
Oct. 21st, 2010 10:11 pmI've been out sick with a cold, and thus sleeping a lot. I don't know if the Nyquil had anything to do with it, but last night I had a dream and Ian Somerhalder was in it. It was the morning of a final for a class I had enrolled in but forgotten about and never attended, which is something I have dreamt about before. Only this time, the class was...wait for it...PARANORMAL CALCULUS. I don't even know. Paranormal calculus. My conscious brain could not have come up with that. Anyhow, Ian was writing his exam out in the open, like writing on the ground and steps and stuff. And there were 5 problems to solve, and he only got done with 3 and barely started the 4th. Nevertheless, I copied his answers into my blue book. I am fuzzy on whether this was prearranged or just desparation on my part. And I had to wait until later in the dream to find out how I did, and I was nervous about cheating, but then I got a B+. IDEK.

Day 18 - Favorite title sequence
This one is hard! But off the top of my head I can tell you one of my least favorites: Stargate SG1. Too long and pointless and dumb and neverending AND NO CHAPTER MARKER AFTER IT ON THE DVDS. Gah.
I love Buffy's. And Veronica Mars's. And Farscape's. And The OC's. And Roswell's. And Gilmore Girls's. And Wonderfalls's. And The Dead Zone's. And I would say I love Doctor Who's, but that's really more the music than the title sequence, per se.
But really, above the rest, I love a few even more.
Robin of Sherwood: Clannad! Archery! Michael Praed looking damn pretty in profile. I cannot resist.
X-Files: Just was perfectly suited and it led to years of me fruitlessly trying to whistle in time, and I never minded sitting through it. I can't whistle, as it turns out, but that doesn't make the title sequence any less awesome. And I always always loved when it said something besides The Truth Is Out There, and I am saddened and enraged that the DVDs don't have those, it only ever says The Truth Is Out There on the DVDs, FUCK YOU CHRIS CARTER.
But for sheer grin on your face cheesy enjoyment, the winner has to be Highlander:
Beat that, 10 second intros of today! You can't! Because they are PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE.
