Election 2012
Nov. 7th, 2012 09:28 pmOh thank goodness. For both the result and that it's OVER.
This Washington Post article (written before the election) sums it up pretty nicely. Virginia is still a little chuffed that we matter, as a newly minted swing state, but damn, did we not know how tiring it gets. This stat should sum it up nicely: "In the first three weeks of October 2004, the presidential campaigns and their allies aired seven ads in the D.C. television market. That’s a mere 7,739 fewer ads than in the same period this year."
Yup, that sounds about right. I have never been so happy to see car and mattress commercials in my life as I was today. And eeeeeeeeeeee, gay marriage going 4 for 4! About fucking time it got a win.
This is pretty cute and will also make you feel super old: The Sasha And Malia Obama Aging Timeline.
Hope everyone in the path of the nor'easter is warm and dry tonight!
