It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Tonight I went driving around my neighborhood to look at Christmas lights. They are my hands-down favorite thing about the season. I don't know why, but they make me sooooo happy inside. One day, when I have a house, dude, I'm going to go crazy with the lights. Twinkly sparkliness, oh, I'm going to BRING it!

But you know the real marker of the holiday season for me? That much like a robin signals spring means that the holiday season is here?

"Hot bod. I want your bod." Bod Man body spray commercials! Man, what is a holiday season without them? And I figure, they must be at least somewhat effective, otherwise the commercials wouldn't come back year after year.

Please, please tell me if you have ever bought it or know someone who has! I'm really curious.

He really, really loves the sink. He was all curled up and by the time I ran and got my camera, he was sitting up, which still makes for a cute picture.

No idea, though. In my opinion, there are far comfier places to curl up and sleep in my apartment!

Pilot is unrecognizably huge and cat-like and marbly and gorgeous! He's such a lovely boy! And his mama isn't visibly trying to kill him in any of these photos! What a good job you've done with these troublebuckets!

He's a lot bigger, but still ghost pony-esque, because he does that slouching (?) thing that cats do when they don't want you to pet them when they pass by so they somehow lower their bodies while still walking forward? That thing? Don't know how else to describe it.

And his mama only tries to kill him sometimes, usually after he pounces unprovoked, so score one for me there.

those bod commercials are associated with the holiday season?? who knew? i've only ever seen them in movie theaters, before the previews, and i always laugh hysterically.

I only ever see the ads during Christmas ad season. Like Chia pets. I think they only run the ads (or maybe they only run the ads widely) during the holiday season, because apparently people who don't know what to buy are desparate and susceptible to suggestion?

Is there some body spray in Jonah's future?!??! Please say yes!!!!

the whole phenomenon is also like chia pets, in that i've never actually seen one in real life. never have i seen a spray bottle of this shit on anyone's dresser.

but yeah, whenever i see an ad it's an occasion for a good five minutes of "i want your bod" jokes.

I wonder if we can bribe, like, Rite-Aid employees to give us video footage of people who buy them. I'm very curious.
