Wah, how sad is it that the show's last episode is called The Bitch Is Back?! I floved both episodes tonight. OMG, where to begin? First off, the mysteries were both awesome, and I love her and Weevil, and she and Piz were so cute, and so were she and Mac ("Oh my god, I'm a GIRL!") and she and Wallace! I'm so glad they all got good scenes. Weevil helping her get revenge. ("You must have some bad karma." Heeeeeeee.) And Dick! Apologizing to Mac! Never thought I'd see the day, but it was really good.
And Logan? Smiling after beating that guy up? Ok, I'm not going to analyze myself too closely, but that was seriously fucking hot. And I loved the callback to the pilot with the beating up and the offer to make the guy apologize, but Veronica isn't interested.
Oh, Veronica, can you not guess how touchy Logan is about sex tapes? After he went and erased Lilly fucking Aaron even though it likely cost the conviction? Wait, does Veronica know that? She knows they were stolen and Leo got fired, but does she know Logan erased them? I can't remember.
And she and her dad had good moments, although she lost him the election, probably, whoops!
Oh! And Jake Kane! And Clarence Wiedman! I am so, so happy I didn't pay attention during the opening credits because DUDE, I had no idea until I saw the picture of Lilly, which awwwww. But seriously, her taking on the Castle? Awesome, and would have been such cool fodder for next year. Ok, I'm all rambly, but that's because goddamn am I ever going to miss this show. :( I wish there could have been a lot more show, but I'm happy Veronica went out all awesome and bitchy.
In other news, I am becoming obsessed with "Umbrella" which has to be the catchiest song I have heard in ages and it makes me want to dance around with an umbrella as a cane with Fred Astaire, which she does kind of get at in the video, granted.
eta -- omg, hehehe, the salon.com article on the VM finale links to a Jarvis Cocker song, whose chorus goes, "Cunts are still running the world." Heeeeeeeeee.
