Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! I wore all green (sweater/pants/shirt/socks) but no one else I saw was dressed up. The Irish pubs in town do appear to be having big blowouts, but as Austria is one of the few European countries still without a smoking ban, I will not be attending. Still, the green outfit counts for something, right? Got to represent my people!

If anyone is going to China for the Olympics or whatever, here is somewhere to look out for -- China's penis restaurant.

I ask a chef to show us the preparation of a penis first, so that I can get a feel for the process. He enters holding aloft an eye-wateringly large yak’s knob. It’s about 45cm long, but thin, so thin. It’s been boiled gently and - I can’t believe I’m writing this - peeled, except for a hunk of foreskin still clinging on to the end. He cuts the thing in half lengthways with a pair of scissors.

As he chops through the very tip of this impressive member, I feel an undeniable empathy twitch in my own penis and a bizarre feeling of nausea in my groin. (I didn’t think groins could experience nausea.) I can’t help yelping in sympathy. He then uses a knife to make hundreds of little snips along the side of the penis and chops the strips into 5cm pieces. When these are dropped into boiling stock, they curl up into little flower shapes that are so incongruous, I can barely believe my eyes.

I don't eat mushrooms because they are FUNGUS and that is disgusting, so I think you can guess whether I'd frequent this place...

The author clearly had a ball writing the article, though, if not eating: "We are given three sauces to dip it into - lemon and soy, chilli and soy, and a sesame-seed paste. It’s good, and the penile nature of the meat lends an undeniable frisson of excitement to the meal. I tell the boss that “it’s the first time I’ve had penis in my mouth, but I like it and I’m going to do more of it”. Well, someone had to say it."

Can anyone give advice about a OneTouch4 external hard drive? I have a MacBook running OSX 10.4.11 and it tells me "The backup was stopped because a file to be backed up could not be found" but I don't know why that would be, it's being told to backup my Pictures/Music/Videos/Documents folders. Here is my post on their user forums with more details although someone else posted the same error 3 months ago, and no answers, so I am not overly optimistic. I'd be super grateful for any advice, as I have bought craploads of things from iTunes that I don't want to delete, and I'm close to getting the point where I'll be told my startup disk is full, so I'd really like to get them onto the external hard drive. Please?

I fully support that decision! Hee, I love when the author asks if they serve any female genitalia, and the restaurant people were all, ew, why would anyone do that?
