The only time I've ever watched it was during a brief period involving "Chinese herbs" and someone being buried alive. But even so. Marlena? Seriously?!

She was possessed by the devil! For a whole summer! And turns out John wasn't Roman Brady after all, but a priest who could help do the exorcism!

Also, and I haven't watched in ages, but I think they have spawned half of Salem.
