This LOLcat lived up to its purpose because I did in fact laugh out loud, long and hard, upon viewing it. Hehehehhe.

So I have now seen Eclipse twice. I perhaps didn't need to see it twice in one weekend, but a friend who is lately hard to meet up with wanted to see it Friday, but my other friend I had promised to go see it with couldn't make it, so twice it is. I thought it was a really good adaptation of the book, cheesily enjoyable as ever, with the added bonus of a wolves/Cullens vs vampire battle. The CGI got a bigger budget than previous movies, and the wolves looked awesome.

Friday night we chose to see it in a less popular, slightly out of the way theater so it wouldn't be mobbed, and we got our wish. It was only about half full, and it was a pretty mixed group of ages of attendees; perhaps only a fourth were teenage girls. At certain moments, there would be some short, non-excessive whooing or sighing from that crowd, really nothing disruptive. And yet, some asshole heckled the whooing girls, shouting "Losers!" at them. That made me so mad, if I had spotted who he was, I might have punched him in the dick. A) they weren't be disruptive, STFU. B) Why go see a movie opening weekend if you object to opening weekend crowd displays of enthusiasm, STFU. and C) who is a bigger loser, someone who enjoys the movie they are watching or someone who pays the same money to get in, but only harshes other people's squee, rather than enjoying the movie? STFU!

Day 01 - A show that should have never been canceled
Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching
Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this TV season)
Day 04 - Your favorite show ever
Day 05 - A show you hate
Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Day 08 - A show everyone should watch
Day 09 - Best scene ever

This is too impossible. I can't actually choose. There is a separate question about favorite kisses, so these are other scenes. In the order in which I thought of them...

1. The OC, season 1, episode 14 "The Countdown": the scene I think of as "Rats in an Enormous Poolhouse" never fails to fill me with glee.

2. Chuck, season 1, episode 6, "Chuck vs the Sandworm": the spoof of OC's Countdown (but different scene than above). When the music cue started, I was all, can it be? It can't be. But it WAS. And that was AWESOME.

3. Farscape, season 2, episode 9 "Out of Their Minds": any of the body swap parts. Genius. This one is Crichton in Aeryn's body. At last a body swap episode in which the writers are thinking what every fan thinks in a body swap episode.

Or Rygel in Crichton's body. "Point it like a gun and shoot." Or the tag, when everyone is back in their rightful bodies. OH YES THEY WENT THERE. (Starts at 5:08)

Heeeeeee. I love that episode.

4. Slings and Arrows, season 1, episode 3 "Madness in Great Ones": Terry the accountant and Geoffrey's talk at the bar

Goes until about 2 minutes in.

5. X-Files, Season 7, episode 11, "Closure": Mulder sees his sister. When discussing the X-Files on a more meta level, I do not like this as a wrap up to the Samantha story. It's a cop out, and not the ending they were building to, and they screwed up the mytharc beyond repair, so they did this instead. And all of that is true, but it doesn't stop me from tearing up every time I see this, and the first time, I was flat out crying. Because whatever the ending should have been, it doesn't lessen the impact of this, because it is the ending Mulder gets. He knows what happened at last. I cannot find a straight clip of it on youtube, but this is the closest I found. (A little edited, but it should remind you of what scene I am talking about, if you've already seen it.)

6. Wonderfalls, episode 10, "Lying Pig": Aaron tries to get the totems to talk to him (starts about 6:26 in). Lee Pace is FANTASTIC on Wonderfalls, but became a total scene stealer once he started noticing Jaye talking to the totems.

7. Roswell, season 1, episode 15 "Independence Day": Michael visits Maria in the rain. Search as I might, I can't find this in its original form. In its original form, the song "Run" by Collective Soul is playing and it's a beautiful scene. On the DVDs and on Hulu, they replaced the song with something completely forgettable, which considerably lessens the impact. The scene starts around 19:41 in.

8. The Vampire Diaries, season 1, episode 19, "Miss Mystic Falls": Elena and Damon dance

9. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 7, episode 22 "Chosen": every girl who can be a slayer will be a slayer. Can't find it, but you know the scene I mean.

10. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 3, episode 13, "The Zeppo": the cold open. This is a perfect opening, in my opinion. Alas, I cannot find this and season 3 isn't on Hulu. One of the most quintessential troves of Jossian dialogue.

Buffy: Or both. And, you know, with the pain and the death, maybe you shouldn't be leaping into the fray like that. Maybe you should be... fray-adjacent.
Xander: Excuse me? Who, at a crucial moment, distracted the lead demon by allowing her to pummel him about the head?
Faith: Yeah, that was real manly how you shrieked and all.
Xander: I think you'll find that was more of a bellow.

Buffy: Should I burn them?
Willow: I brought marshmallows! ... Occasionally, I'm callous and strange.

11. La Femme Nikita, season 4, episode 22 "Four Light Years Farther": the blood tear. GODDAMN. If this meme had a "best gesture" entry, this would be my winner hands down.

12. Veronica Mars, season 2, episode 20 "Look Who's Stalking": Epic.

13. White Collar, season 1, episode 10 "Vital Signs": Drugged Neal and Peter have a little heart to heart. Fantastic physical acting from Matt Bomer, following by adorableness. "You're the only person in my life I trust." Awwwwwwwww.

14. Veronica Mars, season 2, episode 13, "Ain't No Magic Mountain High Enough": tag with Weevil. These two just have such amazing chemistry as not quite friends.

15. True Blood, season 2, episode 9, "I Will Rise Up": Godric on the roof.

16. Farscape, season 2, episode 11, "Look at the Princess, part 1": Aeryn and Rygel fake test their genetic compatibility.

Ha! My favorite scene in the episode, though, is probably the open with Crichton and Aeryn. (Goes until about 2:24).

17. X-Files, season 5, episode 12 "Bad Blood": a drugged Mulder sings Shaft

18. Twin Peaks, season 2, episode 19: Gordon and Shelley share a tender moment.

19. Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, season 2, episode 22 "Born To Run": Cameron asks John to check something in her body. I find this scene FASCINATING. I don't know what to make of it. I've watched it multiple times, sometimes watching her reactions, sometimes his. I wonder what the show was thinking, I want to know what John is thinking (well, I know one thing he's thinking, but does he think Cameron is winding him up on purpose?) and I want to know if Cameron is knows the effect she is having.

Aaaand I need to stop myself or I could come up with dozens more from Farscape, Buffy, X-Files, and Veronica Mars alone!
