OMG. TYYYYYLEERR! That was so crazy intense. And Caroline rocks more every episode. I was worried about her for a second! Apparently they had Michael Trevino watch videos of birthing babies and wolves feeding to prepare. Daaaamn, kid. Poor Matt deserves a better storyline than being the third point in this triangle! I don't really like new werewolf lady (RIP, Rose, presumably, eventually) but maybe it will help Tyler? I just am so nervous for all this. How is he going to react when he learns Damon killed Mason? Caroline has so won him over, he could totally be part of the team, if only Damon had impulse control, or barring that, the ability to keep his mouth shut.

And, dude, they NEED TO BRIEF JENNA. Yet another vampire she invites in. As soon as that spell kept Elena there and Jenna said about the historian, I was all, it's Elijah! I guess his plan makes a little sense. And at least he got Stefan out. I was fooled by the preview, the preview makers must have cackled with glee at those ten seconds of tomb wallsex. Still hating Luca and his dad. Was that all just a ruse to get the moonstone? I don't mean just the flashy lights of the despelling, but the idea that it could be despelled in the first place, because that came from Slater at Elijah's orders. The curse is confusing!

The way they were filming Stefan and Elena's reunion, I was convinced someone, probably Damon, was watching through the window, glad to be wrong. As much as she and Damon would be awesome tv, I think she's better off with Stefan, but they (Rose, mostly) do seem to be ramping up the triangle talk. Guess it wouldn't be a Kevin Williamson show without it. Is it January yet?

And Nikita! Duuuuuuuuuude, that was awesome. That just changed the whole setup of the show! Thoooommm! I am sad you are dead, so I forgive your extraneous h. You were too sweet for Division anyhow. I did not see that coming. Oh man, but if Jaden was gunning for her before! The scene where Nikita kicks her way through the recruits was soooo awesome. Maggie Q, I have warmed up to you and your unnecessarily tight pants. Rock on.

And, on a happy note, my favorite song from Sesame Street, which was not there a few years ago when I last looked, has found its way to YouTube. Meet the earwormiest earworm ever to earworm, aka Sugar Beets! I could still sing it with accuracy 20 odd years later.

And another classic that fills me with glee - Put Down the Duckie!

Day 22 - Favorite series finale Easier is to say which it is definitely not: Robin of Sherwood, X-Files (HA!), Twin Peaks, or Angel. Or La Femme Nikita or Slings & Arrows, logical as they may be. Farscape, if we count the Peacekeeper Wars, was a good conclusion, but bittersweet. Highlander, Buffy, and Everwood all had fairly satisfying endings, but I think I have to go with The OC. I love that finale. The last (first redux) scene makes me tear up, and cheesy as it may be, I loved seeing what became of everyone.

Day 29 - Current TV show obsession
Day 30 - Saddest character death

Agree with all you said about TVD! Crazy intense. I nearly cried for Tyler. He was so destroyed. And Caroline is just so amazing, I love her.

And you're so right, they totally need to fill Jenna in! Both because she just isn't aware of the dangers, but also because she's unwittingly putting herself in danger pretty much all the time. She should at least have the knowledge to deal with everything and make informed decisions about who she invites in and who she doesn't. Shady looking guys who are too calm by half? DON'T INVITE THEM IN.

Poor old Rose. As soon as she turned up at the Salvatore place, I figured she'd turned into a redshirt. It's a shame, I really like her.

She is going to be so mad when she finally learns. She is going to be all, ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME? I know I'd be. I know they wanted to keep her out of it all, and sure, when it was just that Elena was dating a vampire, there is no particular reason for her to become all wrapped up in it, but now when Klaus will be gunning for Elena's family, she needs to know. Especially given that one of the vampires is, you know, indistinguishable from her niece!

Poor Rose, indeed! At least she gets a death scene, the preview would lead me to believe. That's more than most characters killed off on TVD get.

I'm resisting your Vampire Diaries thoughts because I'm a few eps behind. I sort of got nervous about where things are going and had to take a break in case I can't handle it (which apparently makes me crazy according to my boyfriend). Also, I find Tyler really boring so far and they've spent a fair bit of time on him this season.

But I had to comment to say that I too LOVE The OC finale. Sure it's cheesy, but it's exactly what I needed from that show. I remember being really annoyed in the first ten minutes with the time jump, but by the end just having this huge grin on my face.

This last batch of TVD has been as good as ever, as far as I am concerned. What was making you nervous? There is a fair bit of Tyler in these last episodes, but he's won me over at this point. Perhaps I can offer vague non-spoilery assurances.

eta - I totally understand the thing about taking a break in case you can't handle it, because I did the same exact thing and it's still why I have not finished watching the final season of Battlestar. It felt like I had to brace myself everytime I put in a disc, and most of the time, I chickened out to watch something I knew would be more cheerful than a funeral home.
