Heeeee. While I can't say I have a large sample size to work from, it is safe to say these are my favorite Egyptian commercials.
ION, here is what was happening earlier tonight:
That would be Pilot, determinedly going after a conversation heart. He, inexplicably, wanted it bad. I finally held it in such a way that he could gnaw on it, which he did with great enthusiasm but he didn't seem to want to eat it, just nibble. Cats are weird, dude.
Here is the other thing Pilot has been doing determinedly of late:
He keeps a very watchful eye when Mr Raccoon visits. (Or, when the other night, there were two! More pictures here.) Exciting times at my place, I tell you.
As for the Vampire Diaries, HOLY CRAP THIS SHOW. I was all :O at the first Elijah stabbing, then :OOOO at Elena being SO BADASS. Holy crap! I never see these things coming, or if I even think of them, I think they will be way down the line. All this time spent on Elijah and Klaus, I honestly sort of forgot about Katherine, oh man, this is going to be good. Reverse psychology 1, Damon 0. I've seen the Mansfeld Park adaptation the dude they cast as Klaus was in but he didn't have a big part, so I only have a vague impression. Seems promising, though.
I completely forgot about Jonathan Gilbert's ring so I was all confused at first when Elena was reading the diary entry after Stefan's attack, heh. It was neat to get more backstory. And Lexi!!! So glad to see her, but even more glad that Stefan is bringing that up with Damon, because I thought that was patched over much too soon. And WHY WON'T ALARIC TELL JENNA? Gah, now I am nervous for him because he gave up his ring theoretically so John would make it right with her, but now that the seed has been planted, I don't know that John can fix this. But Alaric is right about John needing that more than he does right now, Damon is going to kill him a LOT.
Bonnie and Jeremy continue to be out-of-control cute, but I am sad about her lost mojo. It might be good in the sense that she presumably won't be the witch sacrificed in the ritual now?
I missed Tyler and Caroline this week because I love them and their adorableness, but changing up the story away from the werewolves was a nice change of pace. At this point, much like Matt and Jenna, I don't see why they don't tell Tyler everything (as opposed to one thing at a time, as shit comes up) so the boy can make some better choices, for once. Sigh.
As for Nikita, dude! Alex didn't just shoot that guy, she killed him RILLY RILLY DEAD. No one could be more deserving of being her first real kill, but I didn't not see the how coming, and judging from her face, neither did Nikita.
Seems like all of Michael's possible suspicions re: Alex and Nikita were forgotten, because he seemed to totally buy into the prototype speech. I do love him working with Nikita, but they seemed oddly talkative about their feelings this week. (I am guessing a network note?)
Alex's backstory at last comes to light in more than semi-confusing flashbacks, and is now super intriguing. Does she know Nikita was there?!??! I think no, but I can't remember with certainty. The ending with Amanda I DID NOT SEE COMING, HOLY COW, although it's such a Division move, I should have.
Tonight's Supernatural proves that for all of Dean's pop culture references, he is clearly not a Doctor Who fan, otherwise he would have been far more suspicious of the humanoid inanimate objects. For one of the major lessons of Doctor Who is AVOID HUMANOID INANIMATE OBJECTS AS THEY TEND TO BECOME ANIMATED AND GO ON KILLING SPREES. *shudder*
Glad they are opening the door to Lisa and Ben again, I just hope that sooner or later they don't all break each others' heart.

The one who sprung immediately to mind is Zedd on Legend of the Seeker. I hate his voice, I hate his stupid hair, and I resent every time he takes away screentime from the other far, far, just infinitely more awesome and likable (and hot) characters.
Speaking of Legend of the Seeker, the other day I saw a vanity place saying LORD RAHL. (One wonders does he mean Darken or Richard, and from the show or the books?) I also saw one the other day saying NIMUEH. No guarantee, of course, but that spelling leads me to conclude it might be from the show Merlin, not Arthurian legend in general. In any case, nerdy fans unite!
