Haha, I did not even know that "Tonight I'm Loving You" was just the name of the radio edit, and that the song really is called "Tonight I'm Fucking You." That's hilarious, and something I only just learned watching this very well done Erik/Charles vid.

The AV Club has links to More leaked clips from failed Wonder Woman pilot. I'd seen photos, but never any of the clips. Gotta say, the action sequences were pretty awesome, considering. Wonder Woman is a BAMF. The last clip when she is out of costume, though, eesh, that bordered on uncomfortable for me. Probably for the best that this version died, so that maybe the character can be rebooted in some other fashion.

And here's the clip from Ringer that premiered at Comic-Con. The poster is pretty awesome, too. I'm pretty intrigued. It somehow does not feel like a CW show, though, so I hope it finds an audience. SMG + Ioan Gruffudd + evil twin hijinx? I AM SO THERE.

This summarizes an interview James Franco just gave Playboy in which he says he never wanted to be an Oscar host anyhow. Thing is, James, you took the damn job, so you should have sucked it up and done your part. I'm with you on agreeing you were totally a wrong choice, but you said yes, and then you left poor Anne Hathaway out to dry, and so that does indeed render you a douche on this matter.

In this NYTimes slideshow about Lucian Freud, who just died, the first picture has him holding a baby fox. WANT IT, ZOMG.

This article about the return of brightly dyed hair makes me all nostalgic for nerd camp at CTY. I never did it myself, but I'd say a third of the camp used Manic Panic to dye parts, if not all, of their hair. I loved that fucking place.

And finally, this is super interesting, too: Internet Use Affects Memory, Study Finds. It says nowadays people don't bother to remember things they know they can look up online. So true. I used to be able to memorize phone numbers, but now? Pffft, totally can't be bothered. But this might have always been true, and just accelerated by the internet. Let us not forget that Dr. Jones Sr. wrote down all the details about the three tests seekers of the Holy Grail would face in his grail diary so he wouldn't have to remember.

Hope everyone is managing to stay cool, and good luck surviving the heat wave! (I'm looking at you, [livejournal.com profile] biggieshorty.) Only 2 more days of 100+ weather until we're back in the 90s!

As you should, because you are Sebacean.

Has John gotten you a big block of ice to spawl across and gnaw on like animals at the zoo?

Ha! "On Friday, according to the National Weather Service, it felt like 112 degrees in New York City.

To those out in the streets, it felt more like being licked by a big, swampy monster."

Well put, New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/23/nyregion/heat-wave-envelops-the-northeast.html?hp), well put.

Wow, that new SMG show looks really good. That's one for the autumn TV schedule, for sure.

Right? Sooooo much cooler than when I first heard the premise. I was always going to watch for SMG and Ioan, but now I am actually kind of psyched about it.
