Moya's mitten

Moya went to the vet this week for a dental exam, because she hadn't been eating the same. Turns out she was have some teeth problems, so yoink goes the troublemaker. I guess in the course of the anesthesia or the blood drawing, they had to shave part of her leg, so now there is this hilarious impression that she has rolled up her sleeve but kept on a mitten. She does seem to be eating better now, so I hope that continues. Happily the thrice daily liquid pain medicine ends after today because I think she hates the medicine more than the pain, not that she appears to be in much pain.

I thought she'd be mad at me after bringing her home because she was so mad after the first vet visit, but really she just seemed so pathetically grateful when I came to get her and kept headbutting my hand and purring even when all groggy from the meds. Sweet muffin.

I'm glad it was nothing major. Poor kitty.

Thanks. She seems to have bounced back.

So amused by the photo. How long will it take to grow the hair back, did they say?

I'm glad she seems to be doing better.

Thanks!

They didn't say. I seem to recall her shaved tummy from when she was spayed took weeks, perhaps 2 months ish.

She seemed high from the anesthesia but not the pain meds I administered over the weekend in epic wrestling matches wherein I sometimes successfully and sometimes futilely attempted to squirt the syringe into her mouth. If successful, she would ack ack ack hock ack thereafter perhaps foiling the medicine I made managed to get in her mouth. At least she doesn't seem to be hurting!

Hope Squiddy and Alfred are recuperating nicely!
