imwalde: (Fringe/AltTeam)

This was a solid night of television, I approve.

Yay! The team is back together again! And Sean can be added too, he's better than that random neighbor of Alex's too. Percy on the loose (I presume) will be an interesting dynamic.

And Fringe! This ep was really good. Any theories what Walternate's eyeflash was? (In the scene right before he zaps the scientist dude, there is this flash of light in his eye on the left on screen (but his right eye).) I thought maybe it was hinting he was not who he appeared to be, but then scientist dude was the shifter, so I don't know what to think. I had a moment of thinking it was a shout-out to Bishop from X-Men, but now I think it was Cable, not Bishop who did that eye flash.

I love the alternate universe. I want to spend more time there, I love the alt team. And can Charlie come back now that Prime Suspect is over?

I only sort of remember that dude, he was the ZDF dude who zapped himself out of prison, right? I need to read a recap of that episode, my memory is fuzzy.

And I really liked Supernatural, too. But any episode with Nicolas Lea AND Jason Dohring is bound to get my vote. Hahah, Dean really did work that suit. But did he ever fire the gun like he did in the preview? I don't think he did. It was good to see Sheriff Miller again. I love that she is helping them. When the phone rang at the beginning, I was all, who do they know who is still alive?

I want to complain that Jason Dohring wasn't in it enough. But I guessed as soon as he kissed her that he was doing this for love. Volatile/dangerous but who loves you so much you almost don't care seems to be a niche for him. But hahah, silly Krycek and Dean, you can't outpunch Logan! Who's thrown more punches? That was never going to be the way to bring him down.

My mom sent me this link, and it is so so cool. I also know I could never in a million years have the patience and organizational foresight to pull this off:

But really, bravo!

And finally: A source tells PEOPLE that Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has been serving jury duty on a civil trial in Santa Monica, Calif. . Imagine being on trial and one of your jurors IS AXL FUCKING ROSE. I can't even.

That book video was great. I can't imagine how long it took to set all that up.

I don't think I would want Axel Rose deciding my fate.

The YouTube posting said "many sleepless nights" and named a long list (two dozen-ish) volunteers who helped shelve and reshelve. Even with all those hands, it is a super impressive feat!

Hehe, yeah, it is very strange to contemplate, but maybe he'd not be so inclined to throw the book at someone? I see him being lenient.

Love the book video. Also, I've been watching Fringe lately! Hopefully I'll be caught up soon. I really loved the second half of season 2, but season 3 has been hit and miss so far. I find fauxlivia really irritating. It's good to hear you're still enjoying it in the latest season.

I've also been meaning to watch Nikita. It seems like it might fill the Alias void?

I grew to like Fauxlivia and love the alt-team in season three. I hated her at first because she was doing bad things in our world, but over time, I softened, because she was just doing her best to do what was asked of her to save her universe. And I ♥ Linc and Charlie.

Nikita is pretty enjoyable. I LOVED La Femme Nikita with Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis, and at first I was sort of lukewarm about this new Nikita version, because I kept comparing the two. Sort of like the US Office, eventually they find out what show they are going to be, instead of trying to copy the original and then it gets better. And Maggie Q is pretty awesome. (See icon)

I like Linc and Charlie a lot too, and I was excited for a Fauxlivia arc when I thought they were going to show her as truly being a good person who thinks she is doing the right thing...but she saw plenty of evidence that the other universe did not consider themselves 'at war' with hers and that there were really good people there, and yet it seemed to affect her choices not at all. The only way they tried to redeem her was through her personal relationships, but when she's doing such bad things, I can't see her as a serious contender for Peter's affections.

Also, I hate that all these sci-fi type shows feel the need to impregnate their tough female characters.

Yeah, it's sort of problematic, but the way I see it, most of her truly terrible choices are pretty early on in her mission when she is most committed and before she's had much of a chance to doubt. And most of the rest are when she is backed into a corner. *We* know she can trust our side's characters, but she's been taught the opposite, so I can't blame her too much for taking a while to come around.

But YES on hating this, and so many other, pregnancy story lines. Even Alias, when it was because Jennifer Garner actually was preggers, I was all grrrr.

Wow, Axl Rose could make it to a courtroom on time? The man who famously can't get anywhere on time? Impressive. Though how weird that would be.

And what a wonderful video! Though wow, what a lot of work, lol.

Right? How does he get through the juror selection process? I mean, not that I expect them to treat famous people differently from ordinary citizens, but notoriously trainwreck hot messes of famous people I would just as happily see be excused from participation. But maybe this is not the kind of case (like a DUI or drug possession) that he would be considered inappropriate for. Maybe it's tax fraud or something boring. Still sort of mindblowing, even then.

eta, oh just sunk in it says civil trial, not criminal. So maybe this is a breach of contract or something. But still!!!
