It's that time again! Time for the Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest. But, they changed the rules!!! ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, THE FUCKERS. I seriously don't know what diorama to do. I entered three in 2007 and two in 2011. They don't always turn out as well as I imagine them to be, but the making them is fun, so I don't like to limit my ideas from the outset. *pouts* I don't have a clear vision for what I want to make. Royal wedding (the balcony or carriage ride)? The Hunger Games (cornucopia)? The Hobbit (Smaug sleeping on his treasure)? I just don't know.

And onto The Vampire Diaries: Caroline, when you are searching for reasons to explain to Klaus why you don't fancy him, flashback to less than a year ago when he was going to sacrifice you! Still, though, that storyline is intriguing, and Klaus sure can pick out a dress. (But where did Elena get her dress? Did she have that lying around?) Klaus had this whole kicked puppy dog thing going. And I do love learning he is an artist because of course.

Matt totally melting Rebekah with one well deployed jacket was also super adorable. I basically dug all the Original + our gang interactions tonight. Elena needs more scenes with Elijah. But her scene with Stefan was a doozy. Just when I think I know who I want to root for, Damon has to lash out and be self-destructive and she and Stefan have that moment. Man, I love this show.

Also, this week's Entertainment Weekly will be mine because:

Hot damn.

This episode was brilliant, as per usual! I agree, the interaction between the originals and the Mystic Falls gang was great. Klaus's crush on Caroline is kind of adorable, and his pride in his landscape hanging in the Hermitage. I have never really been interested in Klaus as a character, but I realise now that he's never been rounded out before. All we knew about him was his search for Katherine and his obsession with his hybrids. I think "artist" is cheesy, but this show does that kind of thing so well that I don't even care.

As for Elena, Stefan and Damon, I think the answer is right there on that Entertainment Weekly cover. It's so obvious, Elena! BOTH OF THEM! I'm mesmerised by how low that sheet is on Ian Somerhalder. Om nom nom. I was wondering about Elena's dress as well - could she have had that lying around at home? Highly doubtful! Also, I wish she hadn't spent the whole episode awkwardly holding the skirts up - it ruined the elegance!

On another matter entirely, I see there's an article in that EW with the title "Meet the Shippers" - is there any chance you could scan that for me? It could be really interesting for my thesis.

At that link to Entertainment Weekly, you can see the other two covers. They all have intriguing things happening with sheets. I just may have to collect all three.

I don't have a scanner, or I would. My dad has a scanner, but I have no plans to be at my parents house anytime soon. Hmmm. I think you can order individual issues online, or I could mail you it?
