From EW.com:

When we visited the Atlanta set of the series a couple of months ago, we asked the cast to read some colorful fan-written stories about their characters. Video here.

I... huh. Fic is less and less under the radar nowadays, isn't it? I think it's weird and maybe a little aggressive to force the actors to have to see fic about their characters. Nina Dobrev seemed very uncomfortable, that's for sure. But Candice Accola just shows how much she rocks, as per usual.

Speaking of the Vampire Diaries, ZOMG. TWELVE!!! I never made the connection before as to the council deaths and Expression, but they must be tied. What spell did their deaths power? I think the professor is trying to resurrect his dead wife and son, that's my guess. The New Orleans witch from last week didn't say what spell her mom worked with the bad mojo Damon created by killing those people, just that it was dark, but they made his grief so explicit this week, it's my theory for now.

RIP, hybrids, we barely knew you. And then as soon as Klaus only killed 11, and Hayley told Shane he'd get his 12, I figured Carol was a goner. And in such a way that people might think she got drunk and drowned? Poor Tyler. And I am not even sure he'll know to blame Klaus.

Caroline was amazing, as per usual, but I gasped as soon as I remembered April's vervaine bracelet. (About 30 seconds before Matt reminded Caroline of it.) And April destaking Rebekah is a twist I never saw coming, but poor April can use all the friends she can get. I was a smidge surprised at just how much Stefan flipped out about Elena and Damon after Caroline dropped the hint. I guess I thought he would have already assumed they slept together? And since learning that the sire bond only happens when the human has feelings at the time of turning, it's not as purely exploity as he initially would have assumed. But apparently, nope, he hadn't let himself believe. All things considered, though, Damon only waited a day to do the right thing, and they didn't even sleep together again, so by his standards, that's amazing moral character.

Stefan's whole, what makes Klaus so bad/different than us thing had me shouting at the tv. Oh, right, that time he VAMPED THEN KILLED AUNT JENNA AND KILLED ELENA among so many, many, many others. The difference is he feels entitled to get his way and kills whoever he wants to achieve that end with no remorse or good reason to do a bad thing. (How different is Damon from Klaus on the other hand...) When Klaus was all, I am a lonely snowflake, we document the victims because we are so ALOOOOOONE, I did sputter a little. Cause and effect are at work here, Klaus, if you stopped killing people all the time, there'd be people around and you wouldn't be alone!!! Sigh.

And, on a very shallow note, do the world a favor, and keep chopping wood, Jeremy, keep chopping wood. Hooray that the growth of the hunter's mark will give more excuses to see his arms. Mrrorw.

The seven countries where the state can execute you for being atheist -- Yikes. Not to self: don't go to these places.

I lol'd! It's true. I know Stefan has his guilt, but this whole idea that Klaus could be a nice person - I don't think so. It was cool the way the show reminded us of his evilness directly after with the way he killed Carol. Poor Carol! And poor Tyler.

I really wish they'd acknowledge the fact that Elena's feelings caused the sire bond a bit more. I am really curious as to how that plays out.

Yeah, I am nervous about the sire bond thing, but very curious how they will resolve it. It does not appear that there is a way out besides Elena rehumaning, but then again, they asked two witches total, that is not exactly turning over every stone.

What did you think about the cast reading fic about their characters? At least none was RPF/RPS, thank goodness, because that would be just too weird. That would warrant a footnote in your thesis, for sure!

Tbh, I didn't even look! I get such second-hand embarrassment about that kind of thing. I might have to, though, because even this might warrant a mention!

It is a little /o\, there's no getting around it. Candice Accola does the only right thing, and just goes for it.
