I seriously could not look away from the Kickstarter total as it climbed towards $2 million. I am so happy, I can't even. Because WE DID THIS. I know there is already some angst about why should fans fund something instead of a studio, and thoughts about how this is a gamechanger and maybe not in a good way, but today I don't care. As someone who has loved and lost many cult shows, too low in the ratings to be mainstream, but much beloved by their fans, this feels like vindication of what fandom can do.
