I am normally sad when regular TV season ends, but this year I am just so behind and my DVR is so close to full, I am just relieved that I won't be treading water and instead might actually catch up! Not wanting to delete season 3 of Haven despite having already watched it doesn't help with DVR space, it must be said, but they haven't even announced when it might come out on DVD, and the mythology bears rewatching. Haven feels like such a summer show, maybe because that's when it's shot and they spend so much time outdoors, but season 4 won't air until fall, I am guessing. I'm going to try to keep my summer show add on to a minimum, but I know there will be True Blood, Burn Notice, and Continuum, and Under the Dome looks worth trying too. Oh and Unforgettable, where I'll be an audience of one, but I really love Poppy Montgomery, so it clears the bar on that alone. Despite all the trappings of things I love, the promos for Graceland leave me meh. I'll see if fandom squees, and let that be my judge. Am I missing anything?
In other news, wow, Exxon, why so scummy? Exxon Defies Calls to Add Gays to Anti-Bias Policy. The upshot of the article if you don't want to read it, is that Exxon actively takes pains to avoid and fight against adding anti-gay discrimination and same-sex couple benefits to their company's policies, and has taken them away from smaller companies it bought out, making it a huge outlier in US business. I didn't know, but now that I do, I am going to try my damnedest not to spend my money there, which does mean something more than vague promises since Exxon is the closest gas station, right down the road from me.
And then guess who was in front of my building the other night?

Hello, little frog. (Or, toad? I really can't tell.) Are you lost? There are lakes not too far away, but not in my complex! It was a rainy night, I don't know if that makes any difference as to how far from water they go. Safe travels, little buddy, watch out for the raccoons!
