Whaaaaaaaaat? Katherine, how are you still alive?! I mean, even if Silas somehow left just enough blood for you not to be dead, you surely wouldn't just wake right up. Does the cure cure more than immortality? It is a spell, after all. I did not foresee Damon feeding her to Silas, but I buy it. Let's not forget she did the exact same thing to Jeremy a season ago.

The fact that this happens in the Salvatore living room, though, isn't college supposed to be a couple of hours away? Damon sees Elena, goes back to Mystic Falls to scheme with Jeremy and Bonnie, goes back for the dance, and then brings Silas home? That's a lot of commuting, unless the college is super near by, which I am pretty sure we know it's not.

I did not see the Nadia reveal coming, DUUUUDE. Did we know she was a vampire, btw? I didn't, I thought she was a traveler. That was a sweet reunion though. She went back!

I hope this isn't Tyler's exit! I loved him and Caroline together, when the show let them be together, so end of s2 beginning of s3. Did Michael Trevino get another job or something. Tyler, all you have to do is love her more than you hate him! SOB.

I can't understand how Katherine is alive either. Some weird side-effect no one was expecting?

And lol about the commuting. I was fairly sure in the first ep of the season someone said the college was 2 or 3 hours away? So that was a lot of driving.

I had no idea Nadia was a vampire either. And total out-of-the-blue reveal about her being Katherine's daughter. Awww! I have no idea what that's going to add to the mix but this season feels solid already (better than last season) so it should be good.

According to the IMDb, Michael Trevino is going to be in several more episodes this season. So that's weird. Honestly I'd become kind of tired of Caroline refusing to acknowledge that he clearly wanted to be elsewhere, off with his werewolf buddies, not settling down to college life. I'm happy to see new romantic potentials for Caroline - having her tied to Tyler while Klaus was flirting with her was slightly annoying as that would have been rather fabulous if dysfunctional, so now she might meet someone new. Or take poor new baby lab vampire under her wing.

Poor new baby lab vampire. I hope he wasn't made just to die. :(

Yeah, she's the first to ever take the cure, so I guess no one knows for sure what happens when the cure taker gets eaten.

Katherine hasn't cared about anyone but herself in centuries, so adding a daughter is a super interesting twist. (Well, she'd say she cared about Stefan, then Elijah, but she was always her number one priority.)

Huh, ok, I wonder what they have planned for Tyler, if he is sticking around. It's not too late for a reconciliation, even if college life is not in his plans. I liked how Caroline softened Klaus, but at the same time, I never wanted them together. The only reason current Caroline would date current Klaus is a lobotomy, because he's just not sorry enough or in control of his evil impulses. Maybe in a few decades! I totally agree that Caroline is going to take baby lab vampire under her wing. He'll get out somehow, and she'll teach him how to be a good vampire. I doubt he'll survive the season, though
