Vampire Diaries 5.7
I love this show. Silas was so funny, you could tell Paul Wesley was having a blast. "Now my neck hurts, my soul is crushed, and I'm sitting at a bus stop in friggin Delaware!" AHAHAH, I rewound that twice, his delivery was just priceless. So long, Silas. And Amara! And Tessa! That's a lot of dying for one episode, even by TVD standards. I love that this whole storyline that looked to be really ramping up last week is over, just like that. Classic TVD.
Bonnie as the new anchor is a neat twist. ("I've got doppelgängers coming out my ears!," hehehe.) I do feel like it would have been wise for Bonnie to be a little more curious at why Amara was so ready to die. (And she died with the cure in her system, before Rebekah or anyone else could drink her, so that ends that.)
Poor Stefan. He's been having such a hard time of late, and it only looks to get worse. You'd think after all these centuries, there'd be some vamp shrink making tons of bank being a therapist to the immortal.
I'm thinking Katherine is not willing to be around Nadia because she's not ready to be emotionally vulnerable, either by remembering what it was like to be the girl whose baby was taken, or by potentially having her daughter judge her to be a bad person. I think it's a preemptive rejection.
What has Matt been up to, I wonder? I can't even remember what Gregor wanted, besides his body back. I guess that plot will move into a higher gear soon, along with the college mystery. Although, if Katherine is gone, how will they spy on that secret society?

I'm going to miss the doppelganger craziness. I'm really going to miss Tessa. I liked her. And now, poor Bonnie. Ouch.
Totally agree re Katherine and Nadia. That's absolutely typical Katherine. So sad, too. Poor Nadia. I wonder if they'll let Katherine age and die or if searching for help for her will be a continuing plot line? I hope the latter. She's too much fun to let her fade away. Though "a few months" in TVD time could be like two seasons.
Poor Stefan. I hope he keeps his sass despite his mental and emotional torture. I've been loving sassy Stefan.
This season is so much fun so far. Better than last season imo. Keep it up, TVD. :)

I hope they manage to cure (haha) Katherine too. She's too fun to lose!
I enjoyed last season (although the Silas plot bogged things down a bit), but this season does seem to have an extra something. It's just funnier than I remember, a renewed spring in its step. Yay, TVD!
