Hahahahhaha, omg, bring on the Damon/Enzo fic. This ep is bound to spawn tons, y/y? The most important person? The only one I connected with? I thought about you for 60 years? And this is the text, not subtext! So amazingly slashy. And on Damon's end, too, because he had to turn off his humanity to leave Enzo there! Love. It.

Also, Katherine Pierce, how so awesome? Nina Dobrev is so fucking good. She and Stefan are so intriguing these last several eps.

Poor Aaron. I hope he get some happiness sent his way.

Don't even know what to make of Damon and Elena. It's like what Caroline has been harping about, how does loving a killer like Damon change Elena? The break up was a little paternalistic, perhaps, but I do love that Damon knows himself well enough to know he won't change, but also loves Elena and her goodness enough to not want to taint her. I love this show.

On another matter entirely, "Unconditionally" by Katy Perry really really really really bugs me. Because she sings it un-con-dish-SHON-a-lee, which is just fucking stupid. It's one thing when you are singing a translation or filking or something, and thus might have weird emphasis or phrasing because you are putting new words to pre-existing music. But Katy Perry, YOU WROTE A SONG AROUND THE WORD UNCONDITIONALLY IN WHICH YOU MAKE YOURSELF MISPRONOUNCE UNCONDITIONALLY IN THE CHORUS OVER AND OVER AND THAT IS STUPIDITY I CANNOT ABIDE. Fucking Christ.

Omg, Damon/Enzo is the pairing of the season! Wow, so much! So much love, hate, angst! Perfection. :D

I liked the way Damon broke up with Elena too. I feel this whole Augustine thing with Damon popping off to kill people every now and again is a bit of a retcon, but I can let it slide. They do write season by season after all. I like the way they've brought Elena's Dad in. It's suitably creepy.

And Katherine Pierce! Do you think they'll find her a new body so Nina Dobrev doesn't have to be pulling double shifts anymore?

Yeah, it'd definitely a bit of a retcon, but it doesn't feel too too out of character, his summer activities aside. But it does seem weirder when you think that he let Elena enroll there without saying a word and visited her there, you'd think his captivity would have come up.

And once again I am left to wonder HOW CLOSE IS MYSTIC FALLS TO WHITMORE, make up your mind, show!!

I don't want them to find Katherine a new body, because Nina Dobrev's performance is most of the fun. Changing to a new body is not always wholly successful. See SPN's Ruby or Meg for proof. But now that they've introduced the idea, it's sure to happen for an episode or two at least.
