question...
Feb. 28th, 2006 12:27 amOk, so my friend Marko put an offer on a condo. He found it for a good price, but it's not a once-in-a-lifetime-must-purchase deal. But when he noticed that the people selling it weren't the name on the documents, he Googled the guy.
And, it turns out HE WAS MURDERED. IN THE CONDO. (It's his parents who are selling.)
Marko is a little creeped out by this, especially as he now remembers that, like, one part of one wall was reeeeeeally recently painted. Which is ooogy. And he's thinking about withdrawing his offer, because it's not so cheap that's it's a no-brainer, although it is in a good location.

Also, could someone please send me Apolo Anton Ohno giftwrapped? Yum.

Date: 2006-02-28 03:56 pm (UTC)I had a somewhat similar situation, my husband and I were so tempted to buy a house in our neighborhood that was selling *so cheap* but it was because - and I remember driving by the day after it happened - a father had killed his two little girls and himself in the home, because he was despondent over his finances. Even though it was a good deal and I think we could've very cheaply fixed it up and made a nice profit we were afraid we'd end up not being able to sell it at all.
