Save Veronica Mars!
Aug. 3rd, 2005 04:32 amI think people I know are beginning to worry about me, because I rave about Veronica Mars that much. Most of the time my remarks get an, uh-huh reaction.
I've already posted my idea, stolen from the Farscape campaign, for one way to help VM on TWoP, and sent it to Mars Investigations and Save Veronica Mars. But I'm going to put it here, too. VM, for whatever reason, is such a hard sell, but once people see it they get hooked. So, the idea is to have fans donate DVD sets to libraries and rec centers to increase accessibilty to the show. I think it won't quite be something that people impulse buy.
I've had, almost universally, very good luck with my impulse buys. (I mean things I've bought because I've heard good things but never seen/heard/read for myself.) DVD shows I bought on impulse (having heard either good things from friends or TWoP) -- Arrested Development, Due South, The O.C., and Wonderfalls. Worked out pretty damn well for me!
